Rhett and Christy have been the proud owners of Genki Takoyaki, a Japanese food truck, for two years now, and their customer base is growing rapidly! This will be their third season at the market.
They were always fond of takoyaki, which is an exotic Japanese dumpling. Prior to starting their business they often enjoyed having takoyaki parties at their home, and it was always such a hit that they finally decided to take the plunge and try it out as a business in the hopes of sharing their love of Japanese with others.
If you’ve never tried takoyaki, you can find them at the market as well as at other venues around Boise including First Thursday events, Tour de Fat, and even Treefort. To keep up with them, be sure to check out their Facebook page. Also keep in mind that they enjoy catering and can even bring Japanese food to your events.
In their free time Rhett and Christy enjoy sharing their world with their new addition Rio, born in November 2015, and they think of all the travel they could do around the world which would include finding ” the next scrumptious little something worth devoting a business to.”
Be sure to stop by the market this summer to see them, and don’t forget to mark the opening day on your calendar, April 16, which is coming up soon!
